Taking a break…

Only 22 pages in, and it’s already exactly what I need. Jesus was right.

I didn’t expect to cry over this book, but wow…I don’t think anyone could help it

It feels real. Not intense at all, but soft and persistent, and like the people and what they’re going through are absolutely real and I’m walking with them, being confided in on every page.

It’s so soft and a treasure. It hurts because they’re hurting, but reading about their hurt is somehow healing me at the same time—exactly why I picked this book up in the first place.

Somehow I can’t put it down, no matter how tired I am.

I began the book wanting to love it, and falling for the concept but thinking the execution needs work. But I realize now that there are moments where the writing and emotional depth really shine through alongside the concept.
