This is a well-written slice-of-life novel that explores how people are interconnected. It was a book club selection, and it may not have been a book I would have chosen on my own. Would I have persevered with it of my own free will? Maybe—maybe not. At the moment, I would rate it around 3.25, as the story can feel a bit ambling at times, and I occasionally found my focus drifting.
