Very immersive writing. Despite it being my first encounter with the Warhammer 40k universe, the book's descriptions of the world and its politics are clear and, despite me not knowing the expanse of the lore yet, easy to follow.

Absolute detachment from the characters is an understandable tool in the narration, but also slightly discourages from reading. Overall just a constantly confusing recounting of the violent deeds of the group with random metaphors. Hopefully the ending will justify it??
