I actually like this book way more than the previous one. It’s been interesting and very face paced with lots of action. I also think Kate and Curran’s relationship is a bit more interesting cuz I was getting just a little bored of their relationship which is sad cuz I really enjoyed it at the beginning

Kinda bored with book as the stakes don’t feel high and it’s repetitive that Kate gets saved with no consequences. I just wanna read Hugh’s book.

This book is repetitive and the fl is a dumb bimbo. Like girl be so for real. Idk how I can go from Kate to this fl. She’s like temu version of Kate

I realize that I like slow burn more 😗😗 like it ain’t enemies to lovers if they don’t dislike each other for at least a good amount of the book. SMH this is what I get after reading series where the main couple doesn’t get together until like book 4 or 5

It’s hard going from good writing and plot to ehh writing. Some of it doesn’t make sense like world building wise. Also, her feeling bad for man cuz he hot and being somewhat nice when he hates her is also crazy…..u can make a character hot without instant love

World building is interesting and good so far. Descriptions of places is very vivid and I like the consistency of character actions and dialogue. Kate is a good mix of impulsive yet levelheaded

Good worldbuilding so far

I can see what the author wanted to do with this series but didn’t get to accomplish. The couple fell for each other too quickly. The climax was lackluster and didn’t make sense considering it’s a highly secured mercenary base with cameras, guards, etc. The ghost aspect was something I wanted to see more of and it was a bit wasted. The character dialogue holding the book together.

The characters were well developed with their own quirks and personality. You could easily understand their reasoning behind their actions. However, the plot was a bit lackluster with not the best execution. The premise was interesting and the dynamic b/w the MCs was also good. The idea of the book was good but the execution of it was so so.

Love the chemistry but I do think some of the plot is a bit off. Like the fact the dad switches is a bit unrealistic or the fact that Kyren only ever tosses the ball to Goodie on the field. I only know 2 other names on football team. While Nyla k succeeds in making the couple realistic and their chemistry work so well, I think the plot gets a bit tangled or needs a bit more complexity
