i would REALLY like a five star sapphic book because wow that last one was like an advertisement for conversion therapy

some of the quotes in this book are LAUGH OUT LOUD funny

don’t get me wrong, both the themes and characters are completely problematic and this book makes me feel a bit gross (like ALL lesbian pulp does), but i low-key respect an author who is willing to alienate the majority of their potential audience - and in fact incite RAGE in a lot of people who pick this up - just for the sake of staying true to the genre of lesbian pulp. dedication to art FOR SURE

Just finished another book by this author that was psychological torture and also compulsively readable so I’m trying another in hope it’ll only have the LATTER feature

There is a song by the main character called, I shit you not, ‘a vape cartridge named desire’. Please kill me.

This book talks about nicotine as though it feels like heroin. I’m a nicotine addict it’s not alllllll that this is how 14 year olds or people who’ve never smoked talk about nicotine it’s terrible

as much as this cover gives me the heebie jeebies this sounds right up my alley (i have turned off ‘show cover’ on my kindle when it sleeps tho)
