The author talks here about "character" in sports, and about not giving up when things don't go well. I hated this part. Especially the bit about someone winning a sports thing with an injury, I personally don't think we as a society should admire this kind of unhealthy behavior. Winning a made up game shouldn't be more important that someone's health.

I forgot to make notes on the second book. The third was captivating but both the second and the third suffered from long stretches of times where the main characters are not really "known" by the reader in order to have a twist later on. It makes for some boring bits. When we do get back to the main characters it's great though
