Re read for my romance writing retreat

Ok this is confirming all my thoughts and feelings about Alien being pregnancy horror and why I’ve never been able to watch it

Ok I feel like she was slightly off with the stepford wives analysis because at least for the book the central horror is the betrayal and we don’t even mention that!

I’m already excited about this book just from the introduction because horror has been such an appealing genre to me for exploring the structural isms and she gets it

Only reading this to prove to myself that my love for James is justified

I had to switch to the audiobook and it’s better- the switching perspective every couple pages was annoying me with the physical book

At first I was a little eh about this book but all of a sudden it’s 7 am and I’m crying about softball

I love when you start a book and it’s an immediate 5 star

I wasn’t really sold on this book but I’m kinda into it already?!

In a reading lull, hoping going back to my roots will help

Im liking this so far and I wish i had waited tilDecember to read it because the vibes are so harsh cold winter

Ok so I thought maybe I had overdone the weird girl genre but I’m really loving this because it’s different in that it’s not magical horror realism, just a breakdown and I am somehow through it all rooting for the MC

Ok I had no idea what this book was when I got it so I’m surprised that so far it’s actually really good

Read the first chapter and I’m already obsessed

I wasn’t sure at first about this but I’ve been laughing out loud

This book is making me violent. Sorry book club for all the angry notes I’m making. (I am enjoying it tho)

What this book is doing right is shading the dad I really don’t like that man

I Can already tell that I should have just re read little women instead

I’ve barely started and I’m already so scared. What made me think that I was brave enough to listen to this book on my nightly Mya walks

Is this just practical magic in another format? Yes. Do I love it? Also yes

It took me a bit to get into this book but now I’m hooked
