Listening to the audio version. Male narrator hit it out of the park. Female narrator needs some work on inflection during sex scenes. It sometimes sounds like AI because she’s just blandly reading back the words with no feeling behind it.

Dnf I cannot stand the heroine giving up already this just did not work for me.

I do not like the heroine so far. She is the most annoying one out of the Linda Howard’s books ever. I typically like them but they are never this bad. My issues (she is unreasonable to the extreme, makes assumptions when things don’t go her way, she will not admit when she’s wrong not even contemplate that she might be wrong)

I don’t think I’ll be able to finish this book. The h, they tell her that her husband hired and already paid for someone to kill her and her son and what does she do…. If you guessed she went under max protection you would be wrong. She argued against losing her independence and uprooting her life. Lady please get a grip.

I need a support group after reading this.

I don’t know if I will make it unscathed from reading this book this is one of those stories that stays with you forever, it makes you want to become a social worker or open a non profit for issuing children. I’m crying my eyes out reading this because while it is not real I can so see this kind of thing happening in third world countries

I don't think I am going to finish this one. I downloaded all the books and I did skim most of the series but I think I jumped the gun. I am having such a hard time connecting with the characters and I have tried to continue reading multiple times with no success.

The book so far is pretty good one complaint each chapter ends abruptly and it doesn’t pick back up in the next. Usually the next chapter jumps to a completely different scene making it feel disjointed. So far it has not taken away from the story line but I’m sure it will get annoying as this goes on

Chapter 9 of the audio book. I’m getting annoyed Vera the h is so annoying she is the ignore the issue type person and “I won’t call him because I rather not hear he has a gf”... this plot device just extends the book and it’s terribly annoying

Can’t take it I’m done this has been dragged too long and of the other books are like this I can’t do it. There is nothing more annoying than a draw out secret

One hour left in this book and she has yet to tell him about her lineage.... she is so indecisive she’s just yanking him around. Jesus I’m so tired of her and her andromeda issues... the gods already told her to do it and yet she’s an idiot I can’t with this book. I want Griffin to leave her she doesn’t deserve him

If this doesn’t get better I’m gonna have to put this down

Listening to the audio book and wondering why the H Izzy monologues in her head sooo freaking much. She explains everything in extreme detail it is so annoying. The book is 11 hours and I’m feeling like 10 of those are going to be her in her head just talking to herself about stupid shit in her head. I truly hope this gets better as she has more interesting shit going on

Ok Lynn got better. Just at the beginning she is annoying but it gets better so tough it out

The h is a complete moron!!! She looks for the guy Jax and asks for help and protection demanding him to do what she says without any incentive and refuses to provide information then she goes and takes unnecessary risks out of stupidity putting his people in a lot of risk and then calling him names getting mad when he calls her out on her stupidity.

Not sure if I'm going to finish this book. There is so much going on I don't like. It's not what I was expecting at all.
