I have so many mixed emotions while reading this story. I want the best for Eliana and know Christs healing is coming at the end, but I hate reading all the tragedy she must endure.

This has been an emotional rollercoaster 🎢 and I fear there is more woe to come. I am enjoying it but also dreading the pages to come and anxious to get to the end where I know she will meet Jesus.

I enjoyed “these silent woods” by this author. This premise didn’t seem as interesting to me but Chantel recommended so here we are 😃. So far, it’s keeping my attention. Kimi builds characters so well. I love learning the back-story of our FMC. Feels layered and deep.

I am enjoying this book. Both timelines are good but I have a preference to the historical timeline (which is a pattern for me for sure). But in chapter 25, FMC is driving me crazy 🙄

Loving it. It’s a little wordy/descriptive but characters are great, plot is great. Fully invested.

My first mystery novel. I am enjoying it. The writing style takes some getting used to but I like the characters. They are interesting without me caring too terribly much if they all die 😂

Really enjoying both the audio and physical read of this. Very atmospheric. A perfect October read!

Intrigued to say the least. I’m already interested in both timelines. Typically at this point in a story I’m forcing myself to read trusting “it will get better”, but I’m enjoying the set up! How refreshing!
