Surprisingly, I don't like Shane from his POV, but he's the best when I read Marguerite's POV. HE IS SO CUTE!!!.
I love Marguerite so much, I wish the whole book was from her POV cuz Shane is only perfect in hers. When I start reading what's going on in his head, I get mentally exhausted.

Oh here I COME. Shane and marguerite better be READY. 😇

The way stephen is growing so fast on me is not even a joke anymore, he’s so so so adorable it makes me wanna go crazy on him. Grace makes my anxiety worse, and she’s so relatable I love her so much.

I’m actually having an unbelievably good time reading this. It’s refreshing and so so beautifully written. Can’t wait until things gets messy, cuz it always does 😈.

This is so.. human, not in the purest kind of way, actually the very opposite. It represents humans as actual truths we try to avoid to look or appear normal (what IS normal anyway?), but human and humanity aren’t normal at all, it has it’s own complexity which what the anonymous protagonist trying to show us, talk to us about it (he’s an overthinker obviously), And That is so beautiful.

Never expected to be a cozy read. I can hear the waves slamming into each other, and I can hear thr birds moving above me while reading this. I can see the sun rising and setting, I can see the shifting of its rays onto the sea surface. An interesting read for sure

My heart breaks for Robin (I hate that he changed his name to be more appropriate for his new environment too), and I don't feel bad about how Richard bought him and slaved him. And it was annoying to watch him try to adjust his accent so he didn't show too much of a Chinese accent. GOD. Being in a new place is good but losing yourself in it is bad
