This is the type of book that makes me want to find everyone who gave it a 1 star review on here and give them a wedgie and shove them into a locker

Picked this up for $3 and I love it. A nice little
book about a servant school, specifically one student name Jakob. He’s a funny little fucker who makes astute observations that I’ve had before but also some statements of strangely heartwarming nonsense. Glad I took a punt on this

This may be the most enjoyable of the volumes so far, echoing many a disappointment I’ve had relating to the authenticity of ancient or historical values - like visiting cities or the retro experience - only to find them outdoor amusement parks or museums. These musings were being made a hundred years ago and I’m sure a hundred before that, thus making them eternal and ultimately toothless and obsolete

Frankly I’m kinda pissed this will only count as one book

This could be the best book ever written by Benvenuto Cellini
