kind or confused from the chess references even though i know how to play chess (i suck at it) but I’m still so into this book and its just so interesting, im obsessed

A short description: War. Women. Masterpiece… in other words: Read. It. Now. Seriously, this book is so good and i will not shut up about it, everyone should read this book

I am really enjoying this book,
Its so good and the pacing is perfect, so is the writing. This book feels so beautiful and shows the truth about the world during war.
I can already tell that there will be lots of tears spent on this book

This is me starting a book about WW2 after telling myself that I’m going to read a rom-com. Wish me luck 😔🤞

Alright guys, its time for yet another Lynn Painter book

This book is actually soo adorable and I’m really loving it. I’m enjoying it way more than Better Than The Movies, which i also liked but something was missing or maybe the problem was my slump, so now im thinking that I need to do a BTTM reread.
Anyways, this book is adorable and actually reminds me of To All The Boys Ive Loved Before (both the book and the movie) which i absolutely love.
Feels so therapeutic

As i said, Im not enjoying it as much as i did the first book. I really wanted to see whats going to happen in this one but the thing is that there is barely anything happening and everything is so slow and dragged so im kind of bored. I feel like something big might happen in the next chapters and i hope so but we’ll see

Yes, I started reading this the day after finishing the first one because yes, i needed to do that.
I think I was loving the first book kinda more but I’m still really enjoying this one too (and the plot twist just plot twisted)

I can see many people not liking this book but I actually love it and Im happy to be back into the world of this series!
I just love the way everything is created and mastered, the world, the characters, anything from the universe of The cruel prince feels like home and Im so enjoying this book

Oh, we are so back!

This feels really different from the original trilogy of The cruel prince but I’m actually enjoying it.
I absolutely love the universe and now seeing Oak grown up, i remember him in the first 3 books and if feels nostalgic lol

Feels quick to read, I think that everything in this book feels unnatural like the writing style, the plot and the characters feel bland, i cant feel the emotions i guess the book is supposed to make me feel, t’s kind of like a fever dream.
Reminds me of a mix between Caraval, Once upon a broken heart (except i love these so much more) and The shadows between us.
Entertaining but can’t say I’m impressed

I really should stop listening to book influencers recommendations because honestly why is everyone rating this book so highly?
So far it’s not a bad book but it’s not that good either. The writing feels like its taken out of a wattpad. Every single conversation feels unnatural, so do the characters relationships and the pointless tropes stuffed in here just to be in the book.
Not bad but i expected more. 50/50

I feel like I'm reading the second book in a series where I haven't read the first book

Not bad but I’m not sure i love the writing style and also I really dislike how the world building is done

Good so far except for the fact that I’m deeply confused by all the names of characters, creatures, places and honestly everything. Im invested in this book but the world building feels a wayy too heavy with no explanations at all which makes me have to flip over to the Glossary and check everything every other page

School started so unfortunately my reading speed is drastically reduced and i bet I won’t even have the time to read anytime soon but I will try my best
And about the book, the romance isn’t really hitting it but the story is fun and does a relatively good job distracting me from reality (for now)
