I didn't think I would be so into this book since it's more about deep-sea dives and different submersibles rather than the creatures that live there(although they do get the occasional spotlight). But I've actually really been enjoying the history, and the perspective the author writes with to describe the dives she witnessed and the people she met.

I've officially reached the point of "I wish I'd known this wasn't going to get better but now I'm invested enough I guess I'll finish it"
Is Jojo 26 or 16? Yikes girl

Okay I loved this at first but I'm starting to get annoyed with just how blatantly oblivious the FMC is acting about the MMCs interest in her.... Girl come ON

Part of me wishes this was a shorter book because I want to absolutely devour it, but another part of me wants it to go on forever! I'm so enamored with this book's writing

The stories she's telling about other people are a mixture of rude oversharing of other people's business, and downright alarming exposures of criminal behavior 😬 Wyoming... Are you.... Okay?

I'm intrigued by the story so far, but the typos are so abundant it's hard to read. It feels like I'm reading an ARC but it's actually a revised edition, according to the author's note in the beginning 😬 Wish I could get audio for this instead.

Very refreshing so far. I feel like a lot of Christians I encounter live by the idea of the prosperity gospel, and negative feelings are seen as unholy because we should just be #blessed all the time. This book challenges that mindset and embraces life's struggles in a way that balances faith and the reality that life is hard.

I'm really hooked, and yet wondering if this will be a DNF. Bryson tends to go on long critical tangents, and the overall tone is a lot more negative than I was hoping for. His hiking partner, Stephen Katz, is made out to be a miserable human being that I wouldn't want to spend two second with. However, the perspective of two ordinary guys hitting the AT is fun and this has made me laugh out loud several times.
