Also, what kind of kids name is MOULDER??!!! And the word “chortle” was used far too many times.

Boring MC with daddy issues and cries woe is me at every avoidable inconvenience she walks herself into by letting others take advantage of her. Wanted it to be more about Daphne and Miles scheming ways to get back at Peer and Petra. The title felt somewhat misleading as the plot line or story or anything about this wasn’t funny.

A little over halfway through the aggressiveness and order of story telling within chapters starts to lose its shock value. Had led to me zoning out a few times lost in my own thoughts and having to relisten to a good chunk.

Attempt number… three? Finally getting into this book. It just wasn’t grabbing me the first few chapters.

First chapter instantly transports you into John’s world on the coast of Maine with his younger brother.

If the author was a male talking about females the way that she talks about other guys this would be unacceptable. Really ending on a sour note objectifying the “three young bucks” over and over.
