This book is going way too slow for the blah characters we've been presented with

the affair plotline is so stupid, oh my god 😬

I hope the main character grows on me in this final half.

but nick WAS a sex worker in the wedding date.. why would you use that film as an example of what she THOUGHT a male escort was.. he literally tells kat if they're going to get "intimate" they need to talk $$$ first and kat responds that she finds the idea of having sex for money morally repugnant.. so... did she just miss that entire scene?? and the scene where kat tries to pay nick after they had sex??

i am almost halfway through this book and the romance is not romancing.. reading their scenes feels like i'm watching strangers on a blind date and one of them is definitely going to excuse themselves to the restroom and escape out of the window.. any romance that happens now is going to feel so bizarre.. to get almost halfway and not be rooting for them to get together.. in a book centered on rom-com writing.. yeah.
