My gut keeps going back on forth that it’s either Clio or Nathaniel who dunnit. I think it may be Jack just for the sake of a curve ball.

I thoroughly loved The Forgetting but I’m finding the writing in this book to be super clunky. Also if the art competition for Clio was so important, why wasn’t this shown to the reader’s before Abby let Clio down by forgetting about it?

So there was a thorough explanation- there kinda is a plothole since an earlier chapter made an event appear like it happened right after a specific convo BUT the explanation does make sense… so I’ll allow it and it passes my twist test, and was successful. I’m very excited for this “final showdown” brunch and can’t wait to see what Liv has up her sleeves.

I’m onto you Mr. Marrs….. I keep noticing your use of the word Passengers and it feels very deliberate…. 😏….. is that gonna have to be my next one in the Marrs line up?

Officially got to part 2 and read a huge reveal. While I did not see the reveal coming, I hope that it’s a surprise that genuinely makes sense (not a Never Lie twist, iykyk) and right now I’m having a really hard time making this twist make sense with what we have been told. (Specifically regarding what happened with Ioanna and how someone could have been there)

I’m interested to see how this plays- I’m used to the people being super terrible in Marrs books and so far they’re only terrible in the catty real housewives sort of way but it’s really interesting and I’m so excited for the explosion.

Kindle isn’t giving me an accurate page count I just know I’m 60% in and at the start of part 2.


What in the actual fuck???!!!!!

I thought Good Samaritan was the most stressful book I would ever read but no, it’s this. I almost had to walk away and DNF during the allergy situation. And there’s still a whole second half. Omg.

I’m dealing with final 100 pages stress levels and I’m 58% in….. what else can happen omfg.

Mason, E, LT 2nd: you deserve every star in the galaxy laid out at your feet and a thousand diamonds in your hair. You deserve someone who’ll run with you as far and as fast as you want to. Holding your hand, not holding you back.


Gosh dammit I love this book.

I’m genuinely obsessed with this ‘found footage’ reading style and can’t wait to figure out what happens next. As someone who doesn’t do sci-fi, being thrown right into the story I was a little confused at first because I’m not familiar with the genre/ terms but that’s 100% a me problem and not the book’s fault (like a non supernatural reader may not know about dated mates and knotting)

Not only is this genre out of my comfort zone (sorry to all the sci-fi folks out there) I can already tell the way the story is told is going to be a unique reading experience. I’m going into this with high hopes because I’ve heard incredible things.

CALLED IT. Now to see how this all pans out, part of me still thinks Abigail is the killer I think the reveal AND him being the current killer is too on the nose.

The overly perfect, child prodigy, FMC is so insufferable that this has taken longer for me to get into than a ‘catch the killer/ who dunnit’ normally takes me. It feels like every trope is being troped to the max without developing why or adding to the story and it’s a bit of an eye roll but now that they’re actively investigating the case I’m hopeful it’ll pick up.

These mysteries are an absolute delight. I can’t wait to see what this ends up leading up to. Also- I can’t believe they mentioned the head of the family got caught up in a weird cult and no one brought up that cult when looking into murdering motives? Like come onnnn

I JUST GOT TO THE CONNECTIONNNNN.



this is such a delightful read and is getting me out of a bad reading slump.

Personally it was very obvious how story 1 and 2 were gonna connect. I’m still in story 3 and have 0 clue how this one will connect.

This is the most invested I’ve been in a book in a while.

As someone who grew up in western/ upper NY I appreciate the Tops reference a little too much. It’s no Wegmans… but it’ll do ;)

Anyone else think it’s a bit strange that a man who only had sex once while losing his virginity has restraints ready to go and a custom built headboard to use them?


Also I see a lot of digesting Kyle’s feelings from when he was gone, but they’re just never gonna talk about Rylie’s mom dying and her needing her best friend/ processing her feelings?

I’m loving how fast paced this is and how campy it comes off alluding to several pop culture slashers that are easily recognizable. Picturing the characters from the support group as the grown women from Yellowjackets makes this even better.

While I’m engaged enough to want to know where this goes, it’s not an addictive turn pager for me

It bothers me that we don’t get Taylor’s birth story through her POV. Also- wasn’t baby due in December, born 4 weeks before Thanksgiving, and no need to go to the hospital from being premature? Okay, Janet.

This one is so much better than the first- you could almost think they were written by different authors.

I’m liking this one better than Wild Card already. *give me all the angst*
BUT if Taylor is supposed to be laying low avoiding her bio dad because of the returning to him at 21 thing, doesn’t that ruin a majority of the plot of book one because why would she ever be considered for a public position as CEO/ married off?
