I’ve been avoiding reading this for so long because I knew it would become my entire personality once I did and whelp, here we are. Sure do I know at this point that Dain = Tamlin? Yeah. Was it overly obvi Dylan was gonna die to show how ruthless this world is? Omg. Is some of the writing a bit- millennial/ juvenile? That’s fair. But I’m EATING THIS UPPPPP PRESENTATION TIME LEGGO!

Seems like I spoke too soon about Maggie ‘really’ being responsible now that full truths are being revealed. This has been a really fun ride and so signature John Marrs that even if his name wasn’t on the cover I would assume this was by him because only his mind is this twisty.

I was right! Well… partially. I was 100% correct about the Alistair situation but I thought Nina was going to be much darker and somehow responsible for so much more because it seemed TOO obvious for Maggie to be responsible for the rest but no, she has been. Bobby was an unsee twist though.

There are few things more satisfying in life than when you start to feel the pieces of a Marrs thriller start to come together. Because while you may get part of it right, there’s still gonna be a wild ‘gotcha’.


Possible spoiler guess:
This whole time I thought Maggie was covering up her murder of Alistair but now I think Nina did it.

Again- I cannot stress this enough- if Lance drove for 12 hours after leaving CT, he would be somewhere in the Midwest, or all the way down the East coast like Myrtle Beach, SC.


Boston is 3 and a half hours- MAX. If real states are used in fictional stories please follow the rules of those real places.

Hokay so I fully believe that while books are fictional: if you use real places you should follow real rules.


As a CT native in a south eastern part of CT- it’s a 2 and a half hour trip to Boston. Pax was sending them to Boston. They would have definitely gotten to where they needed to get to without G passing out at hour 2 and still having 90 mins to go… but I digress.

ALLLLLLLLLL of the lil tiny happy kicks, omfg my heart can’t handle this.

Whenever I finish a book and have no clue where to turn I pick up a new John Marrs. I’ve only made it to page 13 but the mention of a little boy named Henry has piqued every single interest I have. Gosh damn it I love how his universe is so interconnected.

I’m not surprised in the slightest and have been waiting for this ‘twist’ to drop since mentioning they DOS somehow knew all the club’s business. At this point I’m over the spice scenes and just want an epic story telling moment, fingers crossed that delivers.

The 🌶️ is 🌶️🌶️🌶️ but I wish there was more of the club life in the plot. They’re at the rally and there’s 100 pages left so I am SAT for what’s to come.

It’s been a while since I’ve read anything romance so I’m hoping a sexy motorcycle dark(ish?) romance is what I need to break that slump 😮‍💨

And onto Part 3: And Then There Were Two. I had a gut feeling April was gonna do that. While this plot is crazy, it’s a little TOO inside joke coded for millennials in 2026, which gives me a feeling that ultimately this book won’t leave a lasting impression.

To say the plot of this book is a clusterfuck is an understatement. I’m rooting for you Lucy…. 😅

My gut keeps going back on forth that it’s either Clio or Nathaniel who dunnit. I think it may be Jack just for the sake of a curve ball.

I thoroughly loved The Forgetting but I’m finding the writing in this book to be super clunky. Also if the art competition for Clio was so important, why wasn’t this shown to the reader’s before Abby let Clio down by forgetting about it?

So there was a thorough explanation- there kinda is a plothole since an earlier chapter made an event appear like it happened right after a specific convo BUT the explanation does make sense… so I’ll allow it and it passes my twist test, and was successful. I’m very excited for this “final showdown” brunch and can’t wait to see what Liv has up her sleeves.

I’m onto you Mr. Marrs….. I keep noticing your use of the word Passengers and it feels very deliberate…. 😏….. is that gonna have to be my next one in the Marrs line up?

Officially got to part 2 and read a huge reveal. While I did not see the reveal coming, I hope that it’s a surprise that genuinely makes sense (not a Never Lie twist, iykyk) and right now I’m having a really hard time making this twist make sense with what we have been told. (Specifically regarding what happened with Ioanna and how someone could have been there)

I’m interested to see how this plays- I’m used to the people being super terrible in Marrs books and so far they’re only terrible in the catty real housewives sort of way but it’s really interesting and I’m so excited for the explosion.

Kindle isn’t giving me an accurate page count I just know I’m 60% in and at the start of part 2.


What in the actual fuck???!!!!!

I thought Good Samaritan was the most stressful book I would ever read but no, it’s this. I almost had to walk away and DNF during the allergy situation. And there’s still a whole second half. Omg.

I’m dealing with final 100 pages stress levels and I’m 58% in….. what else can happen omfg.

Mason, E, LT 2nd: you deserve every star in the galaxy laid out at your feet and a thousand diamonds in your hair. You deserve someone who’ll run with you as far and as fast as you want to. Holding your hand, not holding you back.


Gosh dammit I love this book.

I’m genuinely obsessed with this ‘found footage’ reading style and can’t wait to figure out what happens next. As someone who doesn’t do sci-fi, being thrown right into the story I was a little confused at first because I’m not familiar with the genre/ terms but that’s 100% a me problem and not the book’s fault (like a non supernatural reader may not know about dated mates and knotting)

Not only is this genre out of my comfort zone (sorry to all the sci-fi folks out there) I can already tell the way the story is told is going to be a unique reading experience. I’m going into this with high hopes because I’ve heard incredible things.
