A good book makes you want to put it down and pray and this does exactly that

God spoke “let there be light” and billions of galaxies were born… what would happen if he simply spoke a few words to you.

Jesus at the resurrection not only issued in a new ethic, salvation, way of life, but a new creation. This is our hope, we are not going to a far away place but he is restoring this one.

Excited to continue reading this book for the sake of understanding the Christian hope clearly for myself but also to be able to share this hope with others. With different people and different backgrounds it can be difficult to share the hope of Jesus in a clear way, but I really think this book will help. Laying a foundation for what my real hope is in.

Possess nothing but have everything.

Couples who exist simply for one another are doomed to failure.

Friendship love is quite unnecessary, which is what makes it special. No man has a duty to be my friend nor do I have a duty to be man’s friend. But it is man and man side by side, going through the same things and seeing the same truth that unites us.

The need to be appreciated can be hidden and dangerous. Not only that but one can live a whole life believing the lie that they are really needed by the people around them and if they weren’t they wouldn’t be able to face that reality. Affectionate love must be balanced rightly.
