Pausing to read Trad Wife!

I have always like Mariana's book but the last couple felt super repetitive. Like recycled stories but with new sports. I was worried this one would be too - it is still a sport "romance" (eventually) but I am liking where it is going. I ALSO recall why I feel her writing can be repetitive - the over the top "he is so beautiful" "he is the most handsome person in the world" "those beautiful green eyes" are CONSTANT.

I am so confused where this going …

Continuing hate read: so now . . . everytime Chloe becomes a snarky a-hole, Jo stomps away, or slams something making herself seem crazy. Then she tattles to the Husband who doesn't believe her . . . this is so repetitive.

I am now hate reading this . . . the amount of times her "sweet nerdy" husband has said "what the hell is wrong with you?!" when she brings something up is getting ridiculous.

This author uses was too many !!!!!!!! - it is very distracting.

Wowzers. That is a twist.

This is very good - I am so intrigued.

I am continuing to hate read … and I am also so confused at how this is going to end.

Giving this another go … not sure if I am just curious or hate reading it.

How can she not recognize his voice. I know it has been 8 yrs but …

I had tried before to read this and got bored, but the Audio book is so much better with MANY narrators.

Taking break - some of this book is obvisously so out there but then there are part that are just hole fillers. Like Nolan making these trees for her garden - when???? He never sleeps and is alway killing people!

I have mixed feelings about this book so far . . . and feel we won't get anything resolved since there are 3 books.

I am honestly really annoyed at this book - these 2 are just circling one another but not talking. How do we know they "love" each other! All we get is inner dialogue and lack of darn communication.

I forgot what annoyed me of the first book - the sex scenes are so drawn out. There is a fine line between wham bam and pages and pages of how her eyes are blown wide, thighs shake, etc.

This overly descriptive of the smallest things . . . maybe I am just annoyed with the slow burn.

He really needs to tell her - he is her Ai boyfriend!

Listening to the Audio book on my commute. The female lead is young - and written that way. She feels very immature?

Why doesn’t anyone have a car lol. I feel like baseball players would have cars in Chicago? And wouldn’t the family have had a car … and why is the parents death sort of an odd mystery.
