I am honestly really annoyed at this book - these 2 are just circling one another but not talking. How do we know they "love" each other! All we get is inner dialogue and lack of darn communication.

I forgot what annoyed me of the first book - the sex scenes are so drawn out. There is a fine line between wham bam and pages and pages of how her eyes are blown wide, thighs shake, etc.

This overly descriptive of the smallest things . . . maybe I am just annoyed with the slow burn.

He really needs to tell her - he is her Ai boyfriend!

Listening to the Audio book on my commute. The female lead is young - and written that way. She feels very immature?

Why doesn’t anyone have a car lol. I feel like baseball players would have cars in Chicago? And wouldn’t the family have had a car … and why is the parents death sort of an odd mystery.

Omg. HOW AM I READING 2 BOOKS AT ONCE WHERE THE MOMS DIE! How did this happen. Ugh. I don’t need these tears right now.

I should have known going in … but reading about grief when you are in it yourself is really really hard.

This author is pissing me off - don't write about a City you know nothing about or can't even Google. They aren't trolleys - they are iconic CABLE CARS and they are not death traps.

I love books based in San Francisco (where I was born and raised) but hate when authors do no research! The drive the LA from SF is not 2 hours … try 8 with decent traffic. The flight is not 30 minutes either.

I am liking the plot that is very slowly being revealed but there is too much inner dialogue. I want some real talk between these 2 "friends" that have't spoken in 10 years!!

The first book was so good but this barely has book talk, Hattie is so bitter and mean and I don’t feel the emotional connection.

I feel like I am missing something. Is this a spin off?
