Had I gotten ahold of this before the new year, I too would have voted it Book of the Year. And I’m not even halfway.

Bachman writing is some of my favorite and I’m buying a physical copy just to highlight. I do not want to just hear them.

I was hoping to be more captivated by this by now but it’s verrrry jumpy. Not bad, just jumpy.

Verrrrry uninterested when I started, but it has my heart strings now.

Not liking my chances of finishing this before Christmas… but it’s cute so far!

The great thing about reading a book before I fall asleep is that sometimes I win and get to read a great book, and sometimes I fall asleep. Lately the latter has been winning out so I am SLOW on this one.
Liking it so far.

His transparency about his addiction is good. It’s good that he was aware and he kept getting short term help. But the isolation… I wish he got real help. Knowing how his life ends, this is sadder than I anticipated. And I expected to be bummed.

For a book with such a cute name and so much cheeky wit, I didn’t expect to be ripped to shreds by the big life questions and implications I’m challenged with in basically every chapter. One moment it’s the humor of the current “gay halloween wdym” trend and the next it’s “what was the last day you felt you were a child?”
….Tf?
I’m in tears.
So far, highly recommend.
