Restarting for Golden Book Club.

1st timing reviewing via my phone, so this will be brief for a change.

I adored What Alice Forgot, and this was completely different, more of a page turner and simplistic---though not at all. I disliked John-Paul and Rachel so much, and yet they both seemed real.

LM is a great story-teller, and I hope to read one where she tackles bigger ideas.

My copy should be arriving next week...have yet to start!

So enjoyed. My brother Kevin (who continues to adore Melville but despise Dickens?!) jokes you can tell that CD was often paid by the word. This is such a short book, only a few passages seemed indulgent. And Nolan was delighted by the final pages, Scrooge calling for the biggest turkey and his trick of poor Bob.
