I am down bad for Christian Harper 🧎🏻‍♀️

So I’m leaving off Mara Dyer to read Twisted Lies because I want to read The Striker but need to read the other series before, plus I want to read Claiming 10 and that comes out on october as well. So I have to catch up.

I’m excited for my Twisted era. Words cannot describe how much these books feel like home. Let’s see if this story beats Ava and Alex or Bridget and Rhys, or Jules and Josh.

I can’t put this book down, I’m really interested. I know Mara is the destroyer and Noah is the healer (tiktok spoiler) but I’m thinking Mara is the reason her friends are dead.

Really good, I read the first 25 pages so quickly. I hope to get out of this reading slump.

Kinda slow, and I’ve heard the miscommunication is never solved 😓

I will eventually push through because Emily Henry does not disappoint.

It’s good, and I would enjoy it except for the fact I’m getting sick of romance. I’ve been reading romance after romance, after Happy Place I want to read Twisted Lies, but I also want a palette cleanser. Maybe a series or a different genre.

To finish this book on Sunday, I have to read 55 pages per day which is easy enough.

Let’s hope Wyn doesn’t let me down.

So far I’m loving the book, it’s pretty relaxing and has me hooked.

Just finished reading the Reader’s Guide and let me say some things.

I did like January and Gus, their romance was sure. I know they will grow old together, and I hope they have kids. I rate it a 3.5/5

I like Book Lovers more but I love the gentle love they have, and how he loved her since before that college party.

This was a good chapter of my life.

Currently reading the letter January’s dad wrote to her and some of them make me a bit teary. They have good advice. It really describes how a parent feels, experiencing their own child grow.

I can’t believe I’m almost done with this book, still confused why it’s called Beach Read. Maybe because they’re making a book in a beach town.

So far so good. Except for Gus acting up. They were happy and suddenly he gets a call. I’m mad that he’s acting cold with January now, as if nothing happened. As if he didn’t confess he wanted her before the party, ehich was SEVEN years ago.

But I’m sure there’s a reason. Maybe someone died, an anniversary of something, or etc. I just want him to grovel for January because he is acting up with me.

Past my reading goal of the day!! I will finish it tomorrow, I have a little over a hundred pages left. So far, I like the characters and how so much has happened.

I like knowing that these book give me an escape from reality.

“‘And if it takes me a while to tell you things like ‘Hey, my wife left me for my college roommate,’ maybe it has nothing to do with you, okay?… And my mom didn’t leave my dad when he broke my fucking arm, and yet I couldn’t do anything to make my wife stay.’”

So far this is a relaxing Beach Read, and I do like the characters. I’m not too invested in it so far but I do like it. I love the little notes they write to each other on their notebooks when they sit in the matching windows in their own houses. Reminds me of Taylor Swift, you belong with me. I think they’re both so good for each other. The college party and gas station scene has me going feral.

I have a good feeling about this book. I love Emily Henry, one of my favorite authors. Maybe my favorite.

Ahhhhh. This was a cute summer read. Stephen and Mer and so cute. I’m so happy everything worked out in the end. It didn’t feel rushed and felt like something that would really happen. They made long distance work and Sarah and Michael had a baby.

Wooo. When Meredith found out Wit knew his sister, it all went downhill. I stopped liking Wit for a bit, I was bitter about it. But I’m slowly starting to understand. I just wish Mer didn’t forgive him so easily. I’ll try to finish it tomorrow. So far so good.

Really good, I just hate how Wit is going to leave. I hate how they have to break up because he’s leaving. Listening to Traitor by Olivia Rodrigo right now and it kinda matches. I hate how Wit and Meredith aren’t even considered an official couple. It’s only a summer thing 😭 Wit and Wes would be friends.

I think when we hit page 100, which might have been Mon/Tuesday, it got good. I think the writing could be better but I love the characters themselves. I’m weary about Wit because he said he only hooked up with girls in colelge and that’s it. And the fact he’s taking a year to travel, I’m not sure how this will end. Also why was he scared when he suspected Mer had him for Assassin? I have high hopes for Wit.

AHHHHH. That was the sound of my internal scream. The scene where their knees touch in the cove thing. The nickname ‘killer’. The scene where they went to the farmers market and he put his arm around her shoulder. ATE. And when he said he’s save her a slice of the pie.

I’m trying to finish this book 😭 I think I don’t like it because when I first started the book, I was so bored and sick of it. So now I’m scared I won’t like it.

I have a good feeling K.L Walther won’t let me down.

THEY GOT THEIR HAPPY ENDING. I screamed when Charlie came back to New York. Everything worked out. This book taught me that even the anti-hero protagonist deserves her happy ending. Even if she chooses work, let her be. Charlie Lastra is one of the best book boyfriends. 5/5 stars for me. And the epilogue where Charlie has a velvet box in his jacket that he keeps fiddling with 😭😭 My heart 😭✋
