It’s getting a wee too close to home………….. with the state of the economy and what have you not

Shit’s getting so crazy and uncomfortable

I’m starting to get more engrossed in this book day by day…. Honestly, I love the character dynamics, and the author amazingly draws reader’s sympathy for both of the main characters, causing
partial attention to each. You feel for Shoko but you also feel for Eriko- we all have a little bit of these two in our lives… but I relate to Eriko the most- am I crazy?

The prose is a little wonky. I’m also listening to it on audible, and the narrator is full on British- like ‘shown’ was pronounced as ‘shun’. It’s a little off putting but it’s so far an interesting book….

A top read for me hands down

For some reason, I had a total different version of the story before I read it…. Making this book even crazier than imagined. For some reason, my head is stuck with the fact that this book’s setting is in the Victorian age or 1940s. But it keeps dropping the word ‘ denim’ and words that are quite modern. So far, I am enthralled with this novel. Ugh I wish I could read while I close my eyes.
