Napoleon is manipulating everybody, and the former democracy that was the farm has now basically turned into an autocracy. The constant rations that Napoleon insists are for their own good, squealer being his wingman/messenger, and snowball being turned away because he was the only one who challanged Napoleon. This is gold, i can't believe it took me so long to read it.

Within the first two pages it's fairly obvious that these animals are meant to be human archetypes. I think it is really interesting that orwell still decided to use animals. That should tell you something in itself.

I love karen sooo much. She just wants to be taken seriously, and she wants success, and she is trying to come to terms with the fact that she doesn't want the same stuff that everyone else does. All the women in this book are way to good for the men.

I knew something was wrong with him when he pretended that he was choking marge, but killing two people within 50 pages???

The little sympathy i had for this guy is long gone 😭 he's a very interesting character though.

There are so many beautiful endings to the chapters in this book, so many quotes that i want to remember.

I like the way this book is written. And by that i mean how we really get to know jane since she is the one telling the story, and how she adresses the reader at times.

Re-reading this since we were assigned to read it in english class!!
