Just starting but already struck by: “Each man’s life represents a road toward himself…” and oh does this resonate.

The inaugural Joiner spouses’ book club book. Very much out of my wheelhouse but it’s good to be challenged.

This is a challenge on multiple levels.

Determined to figure out why this is considered a classic but somehow I feel like I’m going to get in trouble for reading it. 🫣

In the gardens, heard by no one,
Trees shining in the moonlight slumber;
Through the depths of their round crowns rustle
The breaths of beautiful dreams.

Caught up in the adventure of _The Voyage of the Dawn Treader_.

“Wouldn’t it be dreadful if some day, in our own world, at home, men started going wild inside, like the animals here, and still looked like men, so that you’d never know which were which?” / this stopped my heart considering events from today

Lots of sweet moments so far plus I’m genuinely intrigued by Theo.
