This book is dated, but I enjoy reading about protestants who love Mary.

I read this so many times as a kid (8-10 years old), but I am picking up on new details as an adult...I have opinions! I will save them for a review.

A glimpse into Pope Francis' early days in the papacy

Interesting premise. I flew through 100 pages in a single sitting and my reading has been very slow since then!

What a throwback to the days of High King Peter!

This isn’t my usual genre, but I’m enjoying this book way more than I thought I would.

This might be the best Narnia book I’ve read, yet.

I am playing ultimate tic-tac-toe for the first time tomorrow against a worthy opponent. I need to study up.

This one’s been on my to-read list since at least June 2025 (probably much earlier, but that’s when I acknowledged, yeah I should read this), and since a friend requested to do a read-along, I’m finally getting to it!

The excerpts from Zelie’s correspondence on the loss of her children might have been too much for my heart to bear.

One more month down, one more month to go. December is always the busiest month for my family, despite the desire for calm during Advent.

As much as they love Narnia, my kids’ focus is not the same as when we read the initial magic in the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. We will keep trekking though.

I’m still reading this! And all the other books on my “currently reading” list. I find myself pulled in a lot of different directions this time of year, and I’m hoping to finish up a lot of my half-read books by year end.

This book is going to take me an impossibly long time to read at this rate. It’s a Lutheran seminary’s take on religions in America, starting with Orthodoxy and Catholicism, in the 1950s (pre-Vatican II).

This book is great. Part II provides a level-headed summary of Fatima and Medjugorje and ties those apparitions together with the lesser known Garabandal.

Onto November, a month to give thanks!

I love Lucy’s childlike purity. I can’t remember how the story ends, but I’m looking forward to it!

Finished Joshua, Judges, Ruth (which is a punchline to a joke, I’m certain).

We like the book so far! Eustace’s side adventure is topical of our current times, and spoiler, it involves a dragon.

Do the limits of poetry stifle or encourage creativity?

My kids and I are enjoying David’s adventure, but it sure is graphic!

There is so much that I can learn from the saints about parenting, but I shouldn’t fully compare myself to them or else I may despair and lose hope.
