Anna Claxton is on page 28 of 598 of The Religious Bodies of America
This book is going to take me an impossibly long time to read at this rate. It’s a Lutheran seminary’s take on religions in America, starting with Orthodoxy and Catholicism, in the 1950s (pre-Vatican II).

This book is great. Part II provides a level-headed summary of Fatima and Medjugorje and ties those apparitions together with the lesser known Garabandal.

I love Lucy’s childlike purity. I can’t remember how the story ends, but I’m looking forward to it!

Finished Joshua, Judges, Ruth (which is a punchline to a joke, I’m certain).

We like the book so far! Eustace’s side adventure is topical of our current times, and spoiler, it involves a dragon.

There is so much that I can learn from the saints about parenting, but I shouldn’t fully compare myself to them or else I may despair and lose hope.

Today’s virtue is “faith.” The language in some of these meditations are a little too flowery, so I have to read them a few times to get it.

I finished the first volume (blue). I’m going to take a short break before finishing these works. The messages are amazing. I encourage you all to look up Ruth Ann Wade’s 1997 testimony on YouTube.

My kids and I are flying through this book together. Poor Edmund chased foolishly after the taste of Turkish Delight and missed out on so many graces and gifts (and Father Christmas!). The parallels in this book are obvious and yet deeper than at first glance.

I fell behind in this consecration, but I’m catching up! Each day has a virtue to contemplate. Today is day 11 (patience).
