Great read

The narrator is insufferable. Feel like this book was written for liberal millennials.

Hmm. Gonna finish this but I must say I do not like the narrator, which is maybe the point. Book may also feel a little too aware of itself and the current times.

Terrific

Hmm. This book is a little more simple than I had anticipated.

Okay. So I’m worried that maybe we aren’t building towards anything. I love a book that follows a character over time, and this is still good enough and entertaining, but I don’t feel like there’s a ton of incentive or payoff for continuing to read. I will be finishing it tho.

This is good, but it is extremely wordy. And wordy in such a way that so many “advanced” and “intricate” modifiers and adjectives and descriptions are used that one stops being able to imagine or picture anything bc I have to decipher and take time with all the vocab. But it takes place in Knoxville!

Restarting this book and am actually going to finish it. Watched a video about how to read it, and I think that will help make it not so difficult to read.

Saw on tiktok that this is a commonly abandoned book bc the plot is extremely character driven, but I must say that suits me quite nicely. Have loved this.

Love this writing style and the story is so entertaining. Five stars incoming.

Excellent thus far

This book is a fine enough read. I was entertained, but forgive me for saying it is a touch simple. Feel like the end just kind of happens and gets rushed after being teased in the background all book. Probs a 3.5 star read but 3 feels too low, so it’ll get 4 by default.
