i know that this book is suppose to be going through generations but we are moving through these characters fast

i was in a bad reading slump but i love this art style and the concept of this story

i hate these tiny words. like it's ok to size up the font. not everything needs to fit on one page.

i don't like colleen hoover but i wanna see why people like her. so far i can see why but also i hate this style of writing.

i don’t wanna dnf this book because it’s boring but i can’t make it to like 20 pages in a day

i almost said "what the fuck" loudly before i remember i'm in a library lol. who tf blames a child on a murder they didn't do?!

calling a nine year old evil in a book where you haven't spoken to her is crazy. even if she allegedly killed a baby, shedding no tears doesn't make you evil?! I'm mad for her

so if your baby was beaten and have bruises on her why would you bring her back to the same location again?! like she’s not even a year old!?

literally no one is a good person in this book. like who do we even root for? i can maybe root for Mary but idk

so like I don't think she actually killed the baby

the fatphobia and the colorism. . .this is gonna be a long book lol.

i'm only updating this so i can say this: if you've seen that tyler perry movie, For Colored Girls, Tristan would be Michael Ealy throwing those kids out the window once the twins are born.

i watched a video that Reads with Rachel did and she said she reads faster with digital books(or audio books I can't remember) and honestly. . .she's right lol. it feels like i'm cheating.

I don’t know if it’s because i’m on the asexual spectrum or maybe it’s also due me not reading a lot of romance novels lol but I don’t like the romance in this book.
