I'm ready to have my heart shattered again.

I can't believe how long it took me to pick up this book. I love that its told through a variety of different perspectives and a mix of letters and first hand accounts.

It has been eluded to that Bernadette will go missing or disappear, but that hasn't happened yet. Semple is doing a great job of explaining this intricate network of people and how they all relate to each other!

At this point I have to say I'm feeling a little underwhelmed. I've seen this book everywhere I turned online and it's not really living up to the hype imo.

I understand that Belly is meant to be a young teen, but the writing sometimes feels a little too babyish.

On the upside, the chapters are short which make it quite easy to read.

I'm finding the chapters in this book are quite short and easy to get through. The book reads like a series of diary entries - we're getting to know Gosia and what makes her tick quite well.

So far I like her, she's definitely not perfect and I think she'll be a little hard to root for the whole way through. Overall, I'm enjoying it!

so far this book has been a complete whirlwind of emotions, and I am loving it! Bee is so sweet and Levi is so mysterious... I wonder what will happen 😏

I will admit, I've picked this up and put it down a few times as the way the book is written has been a little confusing.

However, this week I made a promise to read for longer stretches and am actually really enjoying this book! The writing style is still a little tricky to understand, but reading for longer is keeping me submerged in the character's worlds which is helping.

I'm excited!

I have been hooked!

Our main character, Amandla is relatable and lovable. I feel for her, longing for a family she's never had and I can't wait to see her explore it!
