Maren and Chase - so far ok, quick question who is her sister staying with during his week. I’m assuming Elliott is with his grandparents. Also this 6-week program are the away that whole time? In that case who has the kids.

Skipped to chapter 23 - 86% she gets ash email from Dr L, what was that about?

Chapter 15 - skipped to chapter 19. For some reason the narrator’s voice changes to this sleepy sounding voice, like she’s struggling to speak. At first I thought it was because she was cold and sleepy (in chapter 14) but apparently it’s still present in chapter 19.

Chapter 14 - tells her about the voting and that it was a bad faith interview

Chapter 14 - he tells her how he feels about her.

Chapter 13 - her rant about not getting the job, then her remorse and then on to the next.

Chapter 12 - she finds out who George is (Georgina) and that she didn’t get the MIT job

41% chapter 11 - he tells her for the first time his side of when they first met (so sweet and you can feel the tension) would love to see where it goes from here

Chapter 11 - Jack tells her George told him about his problem when he was 15

Chapter 36 - kind of getting annoyed because we are at chapter 36/41 and they are still just saying we’re just friends. At this point they’ll get together in the last chapter and it’ll be kind of anticlimactic

Chapter 29 - he finally asks Laura for help, but I can see how their plan to admit his feelings will definitely lead to either some conflict of feelings on Lexie’s part or be a source of some sort of drama

Chapter 25 still no progress - they are still in the he/she is just a friend phase

Chapter 45 - she met Scott’s fiancé and they decide they need to take Scott down

Chapter 35 - she’s still dealing with Scott’s fallout. No real romantic development. Waiting to see what happens, kind of frustrating and frusp

Cho 4. Just finished. I’m confused did Roman know who she is, brother’s ex, but then he didn’t know to she was when he first got in. Also not sure what role she plays in his business ventures.

Am I in another world, how do we go from her getting a threatening message from Adam to seeing house rules in a bubbly way

Chapter 1 starts by saying it’s 2am and FMC can’t slurp then later on the clock reads 12:04am - inconsistent

Chapter 3 - so in chapter 1 and 2 he’s her best friend Maya’s brother. Now she’s his brother’s ex-girlfriend and someone named Riley. Also her ex was listed as Unknown Number when the texts come through in chapter 2-her perspective but now they come from Sam.

Read the reviews, I think stop the audio and wait for the book to become available from my library, that way I can easily skim over the parts that get drawn out.

Audiobook - Chapter 2, body image calorie counting. Stopping to see how much the book will focus on this. While I don’t mind it, if there is too much given to an issue (outside of the romance) then it takes away from the actual romance.

DNF - there was too much internal dialogue. Then I read the reviews and it looks like there is not much development and a whole lot more description about the MC's physical characteristics. Not currently in the mood for that.

33 min in and only 1 minute of actual conversation between the two. This is an 18 hour audiobook, I hope that I don’t get only 36 minutes of actual conversation between them.

29min - so much internal monologue from Vanessa, most of which was about how he looked, how big he was, and his body.
At this point I wish I had the book so I could skip over the monologue.
