I have a rule on reading two books at once — but curiosity won, and I’m finally starting this series.

This is already .. so promising. Nothing at all like I expected, and I mean this positively.

I can sense that this will be a touch darker and I can’t wait.

okay you guys got me.

it’s hysterical, steamy and the writing is a shock. the plot is plotting. and i am not ashamed in admitting that this might be one of my new favorite fmc’s.

Her turning him down multiple times is actually SO REAL. AND I LOVE SLOANE. NEED MORE SLOANE.

I know it’s early,

But the writing/humor is giving me STRONGGGG ‘Hush, Hush’ by Becca Fitzpatrick.

Right off the bat I am super into the comical back and forth between Natalie and Sloane. Literally laugh out LOUD funny. It feels very real, for a book that I was ready to write off as ridiculous based on the summary.

I’m excited for this book wow.

IT HURTS SO BADLY. GOD!

This book means so much to me.

Ohhhhh to be seen and loved in such a way.

Horrifying and vulnerable, soft and scary.

This chapter is so.. I hate how bleak and wounded this world is. Everyone is in survival mode and it’s just so heartbreaking 😭 gosh. Tears in my eyes.

HOT HOT HOT HOT.

Sad sad sad.

HOT.

Sad again.

HOT?

And we are sad again.

It’s been a LONG time since I’ve had time for reading — but we are so back

I finally made it for part 2 of the book.. and it’s 1 am. I am going to rip the hair from my skull.

Part 2 was always my favorite in Manacled.

OHHHHH MY GOSH

“Ferron always comes for me,” she whispered.


Nearly launched my book across the room. Oh Helena. My girl.

It’s so good. It’s so good. It’s so good. NOOOO ITS SO GOOOOOD!!!

“The world already knows she’s mine,” Ferron said, his words pointed, “but if you’d like, I can remind them.”

She did so god damn FANTASTIC with the rewriting and readapting of the chemistry between these two characters. I thought it would be much harder for me to bury Manacled in my brain enough to enjoy this, but I am happily incorrect.

His gaze lifted. “Come here.”
When she didn’t obey, a slow smile curved along his lips. “I can make you, if you don’t.”
He raised his hand and gestured lazily, long fingers curling with perfect precision, knuckle by knuckle.


I AM BARKING INTO MY PILLOW. I AM SICK IN THE HEAD. THIS ENTIRE CHAPTER, MY FUCKING LORD.
