This just keeps getting better. I love the way each story flows into the next. I also love that Jev is in some respects the weakest link of the party. He doesn't do the paperwork, keeps getting pulled away for family business, and while a fierce fighter, he rarely is the one who finishes the fight. But he is definitely the HEART of the group, and very loveable. And Zenia deservedly inspires the loyalty she receives.

Into the third book and still very much enjoying it. The story arcs are satisfying, and the overarching mystery is still a mystery.

I'm enjoying this. Plenty of smooth banter, though I question whether real people would banter quite so much, especially strangers. But if that's my only quibble... lol

So far, this is delightful. I'm enjoying it very much.

I want to like this, but there's too many strikes against my personal preferences to continue - at least for now. It's 1st person (strike) present tense (strike) and it appears to be New Adule (strike). I may come back to it, but so far as I can tell right now, it's not for me.

(There's not much wrong with the writing, it's just three elements that I don't tend to enjoy...)

Starting in on the second author, and she's definitely not up to JR Rain's caliber. Not sure I'll be able to finish. I thoroughly enjoyed the Spinoza stories, though.

Still enjoying this, but it's starting to piss me off how she still freezes and panics at every new scary thing.

I'm really enjoying this. Possibly the best crafted storyline I've read in a very long time.

Gawd. It reminds me of high school. Which I suppose is a good thing, since it is a book about high school.

I'm thinking contemporary YA is not my cuppa. I have no idea why I should care about Aubrey, so far. I won this in a giveaway, so bear that in mind - I'll try to be fair. My only other comment at this time: can we say run-on sentences? Oh my.

I'm not feeling this one. I'm just about 1/3 of the way through and I'm bored. I think maybe it is the present tense that is killing it for me, but I'd be able to shave off at least half of what I've read so far. The yo-yo that is Shae, and the constant "I'm tortured by who I am" tripe isn't doing it for me. Don't know if I'll finish.

Wow. I hope this picks up soon. All this back and forthing is killing it for me, and not in a good way. I hope it is setting the stage for some suspense, and it's not all angsty mush.

Finished ✔ Book 2. Probably going to set it aside for a while. This one wasn't as captivating as Book 1. I was rather bored with the political maneuvering in France. While I still want to know how the storyline can continue, I think I want to take a break and read something else for a while.

Saw that coming. Having a hard time imagining this series going on for seven books, much less the nine that are out there.

Oh, I shouldn't be laughing when they caught the scout, but it was funny even as Jamie's deceit was outrageous.

She sure draws bad characters well. I'M plotting ways they can get rid of Liza!

It's starting to get better. Even though I'm impatient, I do like the descriptions of the Wyoming landscape. Reminds my of my driving time.

Interesting thoughts about art and Wyoming, but the head-hopping is killing me. And again (still) the internal dialog as exposition. Yawn.

Slow going on this one. Maybe it will get better once they get back to Scotland...

Oh jeez. I'm not liking this one as well as the first book. :-/
