started reading the history of Filipinos and wow what an interesting read, so much detail and I feel like I will end up knowing more about the Philippines than my mama! 🐥

This book is such an easy read and has made me cry multiple times already. It’s so immersive in its simplicity of the setting and characters, but so relatable in different ways. Poppy is so pure and a well written character, I truly wish things were different for her.
