I went into this book expecting it to be a read wide influencer whisked back to the 1800s and realizing what life without any modern feminist movements of the 1900s was like. My assumptions/the marketing of this book is not what I’m finding. It’s more of a character study of what leads Natalie to be and think as she does. I find myself both rooting for and wanting to shake her.
