I wondered this earlier in the novel and now the question of why the FMC didn’t try to fight for her relationship with Yash? Why did she just recoil and wait years to communicate with him? She didn’t swallow her pride and fight for their relationship, maybe they could have been that great love story or at least a love story.

At first I liked Sam and thought “Jordan” deserved better. I patiently waited for her and Yash to start something, as it was clear they had a stronger connection. Then, the airport scene which was definitely foreshadowed but still crushing.
