This is now officially my favourite read. It’s hilarious. The suspense is killing me and there’s no cookie cutter pattern to the books. Each is different with rich characters and varied plot line.

I’m outright laughing now. How many times has he thought or said that he would never let anything bad happen to her again. And it has. Repeatedly. Get some new lines!!

I wonder how many times the words trust and protect have been used in this book. It’s getting old. Seriously. Can’t wait to be done with this one.

This is just getting to be painful. The only reason I’m still reading is because I need to know what Project Arma is, although I’m almost certain I’ll be disappointed because nothing in this story so far has been clever. Even the sex scenes are woefully disappointing. I doubt I’ll be reading any more of these books

There are some highlight worthy phrases, but they sound like they’ve come from a self help guide or a therapist’s Instagram page. The rest of the writing is like something a teenager or young college student would write. Not great. Just clumsily getting the story to the end.

I’m hoping this will all get better.

It started out very promising. A threat, a victim running for her life, some mystery. But now it feels a bit lacklustre.

This deeply traumatised woman has somehow fallen for someone just like her ex. She says things about her experiences keeping her from trusting but she doesn’t follow that through.

The writing is fairly simplistic and the men are 2 dimensional.

If the last book brought tears this one is hilarious! Really enjoying the interactions between Kristin and her Boss

Wow… there is a lot of sex in this book
And each time it is HOT!
I’m still wondering about some of the questions and for some reason I’m afraid to trust the MMC - maybe it’s because I was so invested in the way the FMC was betrayed at the beginning…?

I like this so far
It’s not like other stories I’ve read by this author.
It’s all from the FMC perspective, which keeps things interesting because there are lots of unanswered questions, little mysteries about the MMC.
The intital betrayal really cemented my feelings for the FMC and I’m totally rooting for her.
No sex, so far, but the daydreaming has been erotic!
Looking forward to reading more of this.

The Adrian character is bugging me. He’s so childish. Moody, possessive, jealous… these things are okay in moderation but good grief, what does she see in him?

I was right in my suspicions but the author has still managed to make it interesting and readable for me.
I’m also a big fan of the recurring cameo of the flower woman.

Loved the start of this. So funny but also very sexy.
There’s a massive hint of a secret in this story and I’m confident I know what it might be… 🤔

Loving the change of pace and setting of this book. Could only find cowboys or Hollywood stars before now, so this is refreshing!

So far so good.
Fairly well written. I’m liking the pace of this compared to recent things I’ve read. I’ve learned more about the characters and their back story in these 50pages than I had by 60% through some of the other books. There’s also some good “mystery” aspects to the plot and the drama and heartbreak has set me up to really care about the characters. Still not a fan of the overuse of the F word

Poorly written and no real plot
I think there are only 100 pages left so I’m going to finish but it really is dire!

Also, how many times does it need to be said that he is a billionaire cowboy. Got it. Thanks.
And are they in their late 30s/early 40s? Because the giggling and the simplistic “thoughts” and conversations seem more like a couple of teens.
Not to mention the fascination with dogs. Will there be a storyline any time soon?

Well, this is a bit of a slog.
Lost count of the number of uses of “said” in one chapter. Many other very simplistic sentences and phrases which make it all feel like it’s been written by a school kid.
I’m persevering because I don’t like to leave something unfinished.
The romance is a bit weird. The first kiss came from nowhere then they haven’t kissed again since. Do they know each other or not?

The family are together and introducing themselves to the new character.
I have read all the books and in close succession. I am having difficulty remembering and differentiating the storylines for each couple. They’re so similar 😵‍💫

And we are back to the recipe…
It’s as if this author’s characters can’t fall in love unless they are living in the same house because of a trauma and imminent danger.
Why can’t they fall in love from next door or down the street or across town?

It bothers me how much the police officers in these stories talk about killing the baddies in the story. It just doesn’t sit well.

This book has made me laugh out loud a couple of times - I like it! Probably the humour of the kids involved in this storyline

I’m noticing repeating phrases in all the books so far which are starting to bug me. I’m going to keep a list of them here I think ….
“Shooting the shit”
“You’re an angel on earth”

At least the couple in this book haven’t known each other since childhood…!

Finding this to be a bit like Bridget Jones style - not sure it’s my thing. Might keep reading later but pausing for now.

Finished the free sample, hoped it was available on n Kindle Unlimited but it’s not. Might need to wait to continue reading.

Well written - descriptive and fast paced

Feel like this is a slow burn.
Written in the first person - chapters swap between Anson POV and Rhodes POV.
Lots of little “mysteries” which I hope are revealed. I feel like lots of repetition as the character shares the same information with different people in different ways.
Some good description. Quite a lot of dialogue and internal thought monologue.
Strong language and mature content.
