“If we can’t remember something, how do we know it happened?”

So far this is a delightfully creepy book. Listening via audiobook through headphones and there are
Genuine moments where I think “this is the perfect time for somebody to just randomly scream and I will jump”.

I feel like I’m reading something I shouldn’t. Like I’m looking outside my window watching two people ruin their lives and sitting back and doing nothing. The feeling is sad and makes me feel empty. I don’t find this book “satire” or “dark funny”. I find it scary and horrible and depressing.

This book is like a car crash. Everything about it makes my body tense and think “what in the world is wrong with you?” Yet for some reason I HAVE to keep reading because at some point they have to learn right? They have to get it together don’t they?!?

You know how sometimes you find a book that feels like it was genuinely created for just you? Yeah. That’s this book. I’ve been smiling since page one. It feels like I’m being hugged from inside. I don’t even care how this book ends. I’m still going to rate it 5/5.

How can a book be so wildly sexy and hot while also remaining sweet and swoon worthy? #giddyup
