Gailles is literally my favorite villain. She is so evil and cunning but so interesting! The fact that she’s been time traveling along side Claire but at different intervals of her life is INSANEEEE.

Boq is a stalker…weirdo. I don’t like him at all. But I do like the way he called out Galinda for being a hypocrite. She talks so much shit about how much she hates Elphie but keeps her around as a friend but doesn’t want to be friends with Boq. I do understand Galinda’s side though. She shouldn’t have to. No is no. Go away.

Also! Glinda doesn’t beat around the bush and immediately tells Boq that she has no interest in him. Savagely. So knowing that he keeps going after her….comes off as creepy. Stalkerish even….

I had to go back and reread a few pages because I forgot where I was.
After the “animals should be seen not heard” bit-Madam Morrible just came right out as a racist. Also-she is AWFUL to Elphie! In the musical she’s close with Elphie and insists on teaching her. But in the book she wants to focus on natural magic and is insisting Glinda take on sorcery. Also Glinda hates sorcery because it’s hard?

I really feel like the entire first half of this book/show was just a lesson on the word "Consent". Don't touch Jaime without CONSENT!!!

In the musical Madam Morrible has no interest or hope in teaching Galinda magic/sorcery. So it's pretty weird that in the book she is trying to convince Galinda to take those classes next semester. Weird that Galinda has no interest at all when in the musical she is so excited.
