I literally just started reading this book and I couldn't focus because I was having deja vu. The entire beginning of this book and the magic system so far feels half plagiarized from Dreamer by Brandon Sanderson. What in the world is going on here???

Brotherrrr you ever been on a 12 hour road trip across flat land? That's this reading experience. Can we please have something happen yet? I'm so bored it's been hours and hours and this could have been covered in half the time.

It's absolutely INSANE that Alex Aster thinks that AN ENTIRE ELK only has enough meat "for several people to share". Girly pop, an elk can give you like 150lbs of meat. That's like 9 months, what do you MEAN.

Who would have thought that a book of theories on the origin of species would be infinitely more entertaining than a Greek epic? I'm astounded
