Feeling like a 3.5⭐️, 3🌶️ - some complex story telling for sure

Better than I thought! Looking like a 3⭐️ and 4🌶️

The FMC has been developing which is good - but idk something is off with how she’s responding to the present MMC

For some reason I keep wondering how accurate the dialogue would be for the time period of the 1950s…when I usually don’t care about details like that 😂

I am a woman possessed, I can’t stop. The pacing is INCREDIBLE…slow burn is top notch…I barely know how anyone feels about anyone but it a good way

Gonna be a 2⭐️, I feel that’s generous

Shaping up to be a 3.5-4⭐️, interesting way of telling a unique story…bummed I didn’t get to see the development of his speech

Looking like a 3⭐️ - still entertaining, and still good writing - just certain hopes I had for their 3rd act break up and rafes character are not going to happen. She had to spell out groveling for him…such excellent writing but this felt like taking the easy way out

Something about the topics/characters isn’t pulling me in, the only reason I started was for the curvy FMC and fake dating - but it became not fake too easily and too quickly

Ehhh 2-3⭐️ max

Somehow my new standard for absolutely top tier MMC is a lizardman. I love him.

Bummer! This was going well then everything got repetitive and started skimming…probably a 3⭐️

Unfortunately the incredible cover did not prepare me for the incredibly immature dialogue and cringy characters. Most likely 2⭐️

Noooo the pacing got jacked up in this book when it was so on point in book 1. And the dialogue is getting repetitive with them going over the same thing over and over. Yes everyone is very traumatized yes thank you we know.

2⭐️ - completes the list of what NOT to do with an RH. But the spicy is spicing so I GUESS I’ll finish 😂

Ehh 2⭐️ as of now..cool concept but something about the writing and pacing is dragging and not pulling me in. Maybe the rest will bump it up to 3⭐️

4.5-5⭐️…so many things done well in this book.

3.5⭐️ - writing is very poetic. Lots of angst and tension…but there is something about it that feels…tiring..instead of exciting

Unfortunately need to DNF at 31%…something about the one night stand — but then the MMC/FMC end up being in each others lives — downer land for me…sort of like forced proximity but the angst/build up is spoiled because it already happened??
