C is having conversation with someone she has history with but shes supposed to assassinate (shes undercover) she mentions “i was let out by the king. I work for him now” and then three pages later says to a peer in regard to the conversation “It shouldn’t be too hard to get some inkling of what this group might be planning against the king..” girl why would he give up his plans when u work for the king???

Its giving me nothing. I get no real character time from these “important” side characters. So far all story building but it’s a prequel so I already know what is going on so it’s just unnecessary. I skipped and skimmed the second story line to get to the Red Desert which I feel may actually be worth while. Hopefully it becomes more intriguing in the last 3 parts. First 2 were a waste of time.
