it's very hard not to read this and think about the similarities to the original covid-19 pandemic.

what a humane and thought provoking way to explain how a virus can spread. preston uses key terms and phrases to show that love and humanity are exploited by disease by accident and cause harm in ways people did not dream of or mean to. what a kind way to should the blame solely on the soulless virus, not the people who are just trying to show love to those around them.
