Check & Mate is my very first english book i’ve ever read and i’m soooo happy i pick the right book for my very first experience!! I’m not finish with this book yet but i’m convinced enough to say it’s really worth reading esp for a beginner like me. both of the MC has family issues and i really feel like i’m seeing myself through them 🥹
