I was right about Jess being Baby Hope. Lucy keeps talking about their ear shapes being proof they’re related to their dad. I think that Jess’s dad was one of the men taken by the sirens, and related to their dad. And that Lucy is Jess’s child she had with Max or Hennessy

Okay so maybe Bernard smith had the memorial build for the Naiad victims to appease the supernatural to stop the disappearances. They stop after the memorial went up and don’t seem to happen again until 1997 then stop again.

Okay current theory is that Jess was Baby Hope, and was the daughter of a siren. I also think that Lucy is Jess’ biological daughter and that’s why the have a strained/distant relationship. And also why their parents are weirdly anti-journalism bc they were the couple that adopted Baby Hope and faced all the media shit
