i don’t like how she writes romance

it’s getting very repetitive: experimenting on Sarkis, the Motherhood coming, them evading the Motherhood, and then a funny scene🫩

im def not in the right mood for this book but she my only option🙁

I’m pretty sure this is a cozy fantasy but like i lowkey be bored when Sarkis and Halla aren’t talking or doing anything together

not much is happening but i just love the characters already and the way the author portrays them and their thoughts, it’s so funny and witty

so Mance is just like.. getting rid of her powers? what the hell she’s such a fucking idiot how are you going to protect yourself

Rifter is hotter than Silver anyway and he’s not even a love interest he tried to kill Mance but whatever

sooo the author is just letting everyone get away unscathed? Vie survived, Rooftop survived, Mara survived, Mance’s parents survived, and Silver and Mance are still alive which is a given since they’re the main characters, but literally the author couldn’t have at least one character die? highly unrealistic, I want every character to die in this book given how fucking insufferable they are

ok im ngl… the plot twist was good, and bumped the books one star rating to perhaps a 1.5? 1.75? 2 stars if im being generous??

everyone pisses me off. i don’t understand how i could ever love these characters. Silver is stupid for blindly following Guerre and he’s shallow as fuck, Vie just is plain annoying with how much the author is trying to sell the “badass” thing and I don’t understand how she has friends, and Mancella acts like a toddler, throwing tantrums. Rooftop is the only tolerable one but his name is dumb.

boring ass book why is every character so shallow
