In the short story “moan” there are panels that remind me of lady Macbeth washing the blood off her hand and going insane from guilt

So apparently, Turbo granny always shows up where young girls have tragically died. I’ve heard a fan theory that the reason she jumped through the phone was to save Momo

I’ve heard that the aliens symbolize modern Japan and the ghosts represent traditional Japan. Turbo granny calls Momo a “garish little bitch”

At first I thought this series was way to vulgar for a story about high school kids but now I’ve found out that the themes are supposed to be symbolic of the over sexualization of young girls in Japan. Which is why the aliens are dressed like Japanese salarymen.

I think this is one of the most accurate portrayals of teenagers I’ve seen in a very long time. The way Momo and Okarun become instant close friends, and the way the jump from bickering to deep heart to hearts.

Chainsawman are the death devil what the hell is going to happen now supposedly the devil he eats cease to exist

In the beginning of Asa’s story we learned that she always trips with fall at the worst possible moment. I figured that we would find out why we have. When she was running to find help for her dad that was dying she tripped and fell on purpose, hoping he would die before help arrived. I like that this author has made her guilt manifest in this sort of quirk.

Yoshida comes and finds Denji in this tough time and reminiscing on all of the time they’ve spent together. Denji has flashbacks of Power and Aki, and Yoshida thank him for all of the time they had fun together. Yoshida then revealed to be a suicide bomber attempting to take out Denji. Denji completely loses it and turns into Pochita. I really didn’t think that he was that attached to Yoshida and it makes me sad

A world without death is a world with never-ending war, honestly it’s a good point I can’t imagine how hostile the human race can get if we have eternity to fester our grudges against one another

I think the national anthem played over all of the destruction and death was a nice touch. Very accurate to American culture

It seems nuclear weapons merged because of America once again created nuclear weapons from scratch. I am a fan of the writers obvious critiques on America.

The war devil becomes extremely powerful because people remember nuclear weapons. There is a newscaster announcing an American attack on the Soviet Union. I wonder why the Soviet Union still exist in this world I presume it is because chainsaw eats the nuclear weapon devil and win chainsaw eats a devil it ceases to exist. The writing makes a good point that without nuclear weapons, the Soviet Union would remain.

Asa stops Yoru from turning Frnji into a weapon but now Yoru can’t do it cause she’s fallen for Denji too, it’s funny for this type of romance to be thrown into such of a graphic apocalypse

Denji is confronted with two of his victims, a young pair of brothers who idolized him. The first he let die in order to save a cat instead and the other he killed while sawing the fire devil (fake chainsawman) in half. In a fight with the falling devil he had an illusion of the two boys confronting him and when he responds he is drawn as a child. I loved the way this scene was drawn.

As I presumed the fake chainsawman was the fire devil but how the hell do their powers relate to fire

It seems this fake chainsawman is in control of the chainsaw zombie people in the beginning of this story the devils resembled their name. Where the hell is this story going it feels rushed and disorganized

I do like the macabre romantic bike ride

I remember the false Chainsawman being first introduced when Denji was saving Asa from the falling devil. This fake chainsawman was drawn in a chilling and impressive panel, if this is that same devil thus is extremely anticlimactic and disappointing

As the death devil is introduced there is a murder or crows, I’ve noticed all the crows in the background throughout this manga, has deaths been watching the whole time
