sister Mariam is .. wow. thinking of the Earth, Gaia, as God is brilliant. the internal natural subconscious that isn’t unconscious is exactly what i’ve been pondering on for the past few years while studying religions. LUV HER.

the next transition was easy enough to understand but the jargon was crazy. noticing that some ecologists are snooty asf. the only chapter that matters is the last. “we can be inspired by this scientific view of nested interdependence— from galaxies and stars to planets and ecosystems— so that we sense how personally we are woven into the fabric of life”
despite this crappy chapter i luv the next though

the idea of the water scale is super cool. shows that even one person doing right by the earth can impact Her health positively

sobbed after the very first chapter. the way Chief Oren Lyons writes about natural law is so touching. mind you, he’s straight to the point, i just got overwhelmed with emotion hearing the native american point of view on the direction of our world. actually emotional. how we treat our children is a direct indication of global degradation. DONT BOO HIM, HES RIGHT!!!

I like it so far, I despise men

so far so good, i thought i would struggle to understand the stream of consciousness, but it’s piecing together quite well. so far, our main characters younger brother has a brain tumor, well, it eventually shrinks but the father still walks out. just our main character at 4 years old and her brother at 7, and their mother. her brother is implied to have few teeth but beautiful brown locs.

an unexpected twist, because I didn’t expect it to be smutty and gay. it’s getting more interesting though, and we’re learning more about the main character, Quinn. I think Quinn is gay, because what do you mean when you touched the smutty gay book, instead of feeling like you were going to hell it felt natural to your touch.

getting interesting of course my interest was piqued the moment they introduced a romance theme. i hope miss iddard’s daughter, mary, isn’t a child

pretty good so far. i feel like there are a few plot holes and the wording is odd but it’s cool nonetheless
