So far it’s a very quick read and I’m enjoying the plot. It’s quite intriguing. Really love the writing too.

We’ve taken a sharp left from gritty crime thriller into something about painting? 😅 Not really sure what’s happening but I’m still enjoying it.

Prediction 1: Her sister’s going to die.

Prediction 2: Nate’s going to die.

OR Torres is going to die and it forces Nate to leave.

OR Nate is injured and honourably discharged.

God, the depth and despair of Saint’s grief is palpable. 😥

Enjoying this way more than I thought I would.

Started the audiobook today 😊

Wish he’d stop calling her Reckless. If it weren’t for the chapter headers I’d have forgotten her name by now 😅😂😂

When authors write these things, do they actually hear it in their own heads? 🙈🙈

Cringing hard

It’s good but so very corny at times 😅

So far I’m enjoying this. The characters are pretty great. The story is compelling. Small town, loads of drama and impending doom. Awesome.

But the writing is at times hard to connect to. This example here:
“Doesn’t matter how much I want to drown in your taste. How much I want to know what it would be like to sink into that sweet heat.”
NO ONE TALKS LIKE THIS, ANSON!!!
So cheesy 😣😂
