Re-reading because it's one of my top 3 reads of 2025 and I love Natalya so much!

Ughhh, it was going so well until this point. I absolutely hate the “I don’t want you, but I also don’t want anyone else to have you” trope. Calling things off, then getting jealous, bitter, and nasty the second someone else shows interest? I really, really can’t stand it.

Please tell me Lane gets better! I’m still early in the book, but if she stays this arrogant all the way through, I might not survive it 😩

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD — WHY DOES THIS ENTIRE BOOK KEEP CIRCLING BACK TO KADE AND AIDEN?!

If Aiden’s supposedly so happy with Dawn, and Kade clearly has feelings for Del, then WHY are we still entertaining this “what if Aiden and Kade were together” nonsense every. Single. Chapter?!

It’s exhausting. Truly. Aiden’s so bitter Kade didn’t want to be with her, but why?! You’re in a happy relationship, Aiden — act like it!

Cassie seems to sexualize nearly every woman she meets—Noah’s mom, his teacher, his violin tutor, and even his other mom. At a certain point, it stops feeling like genuine attraction and starts to feel excessive. Not every female character needs to be viewed through a romantic or sexual lens. Cassie, it’s okay to interact with women without immediately assessing their attractiveness.

Why have I not read this sooner?! Absolutely loving it so far! The writing is brilliant and the story is so gripping!

36% in & I’m struggling to see what all the hype is about. Olive & Jack are carbon copies of Flora & Miles & Abby & Joey seem heavily inspired by Dani and Jamie from The Haunting of Bly Manor. Am I the only one noticing this? On top of that, Joey has been pretty insufferable so far—there’s nothing about her I find likable. Does it improve? I’d love to hear from someone who stuck with it because I want to DNF.
