It is slow paced, I like that we read a little bit about the mother before she died.
I found the sentence “Vasilisa Petrovna was an ugly little girl” funny 😄 Normally they say “She was very pretty” or something, I quite wonder if she will become pretty as time goes.
Right now the part I read is about the father and his two sons, quite boring, but I will push through it little by little.

It got interesting when she was searching for Tamlin in the Spring Court and then met the High Queen (Amar something)
Then it got boring in the first trail with the worm and after that
I have no idea what going in Rhys’s mind…I mean sure I saw it coming that he is not 100% devoted to the queen and he is going to help the protagonist, but still like…huh

This book is only smut, smut and oh look more smut!
Bad writing, bad grammar, etc…
Emeriel is dumb, no survival instinct and making stupid dissensions.

I wished there was more emotions shown or us knowing what’s really going on in her mind. And we know, like that she misses Tamlin and the Spring Court…but that’s it. I just wished, like sure tell us what boring things you do everyday to day, as long as there is some kind of process of thinking or emotions going on, you know? Like I want to feel the way she feels, like her missing the court, I want to feel that

Her time with her family was boring and, questionable? I mean it literally did nothing happened and I don’t mean like it needs to have action or some plot. I don’t mind everyday life/doings or slow peacing. But the way it was written, not good. I don’t even remember what I read but only the dialogue between her and her older sister. At least her older sister has some personality and realness.

They made love…good, I’m happy for them. It was kinda spicy, love that there was no more details or explanation on how or how long they did it. It was good.
Now I don’t know what to think or expect next as she needs to leave and return to her family…

Lucien is the youngest son of the High Lord of the Autumn curt, he has a sad back story
I guess the third book is going to be about him and his love story (?)
But then the second book, who is it going to be about? As it’s about the Summer court (I guess, I’m not sure as I still didn’t see the chronological order of this series)

I cried a little bit for that faerie, that scene that he died was so sad bruh. And our girl Fayre begins to warm up to our boy Tamlin as well feeling remorse/guilt that she herself killed Andras

She is this cold towards Tamlin and not Lucien, cuz she is not used to kindness, she doesn’t know how to react or act when someone is taking care or being kind to her as she grew up not being taken care for and dealing with rude people.

That’s why she prefers Lucien, cuz he is someone who she knows how to deal with
While with Tamlin, not, as he is kind to her and wants to take care of her.

Most people said that the beginning was boring, but I don’t find it boring at all. It’s good and interesting so far
I guess I don’t mind reading day-to-day life, especially when they are struggling

The map, I don’t like it though. Not good made, more specifically the names “Night court, Spring court, etc…” wtf

I so do not want to read it anymore, but I do want to finished just to mark it as finished
I’m speed running this book.

She needs to take an advice from the Chinese romance historian movies or novels on how to write about different political views without us (the readers) have to see or know where she actually stands in her political beliefs.
I get it she is a lefty and she is a believer for the immigrants, hates the ID thing for to vote, and sh*t like that.
But damn it’s annoying to have it force upon me while reading it 🙄

There is a lot of nowadays-politic, a modern politic… I hate it, it’s annoying, I don’t like itttt

I can even see where the author stands in her own beliefs and political views…Which is frustrating and I don’t like it.

I SO wished there was more detailed smut. It begins good with the build up, but then it stops before they start (I mean that in the book they describe the kissing and all, but when it comes to the action it’s cut off, wished it wasn’t 🥲).
It’s a good book, but i doubt it will be a favourite one.

I like ittt. I was excited to get to their first kiss which was on page 108.
I read and read and read, it’s very engaging, easy to read (even though I don’t understand some of the words), it’s funny, I dont feel like I’ve read that much of pages while in truth I did, it’s just that it goes by easy.
