I like ittt. I was excited to get to their first kiss which was on page 108.
I read and read and read, it’s very engaging, easy to read (even though I don’t understand some of the words), it’s funny, I dont feel like I’ve read that much of pages while in truth I did, it’s just that it goes by easy.

I like it, there is humor.
I realized that I don’t like how it’s modern times politics, I don’t mind if it’s politics as long as it’s fake and has nothing to do with the real world or if it’s in the past. I don’t like that I’m constantly reminded about the political world or should I say about the real world, I want to escape it. That’s why I’m reading fiction books, but this book burst my bubble

I watched the movie and read a comment that says the book has much more details then the movie and that the book is good.
So far I like it, at first I did not know what it was really saying, but then it got clear. It’s quite funny too. I like it so far. 😀

I’m thinking to drop it for a moment and begin a new book… I will not DNF it as I’m already this far in the book, but it is quite the drag.

Im quite excited and eager to begin ~Red, white & royal blue~ as I already watched the movie.
As well ~Leather & Lark~, the moment Lachlan appeared in ~Blackbird & Butcher~ I set myself to read his part of the story, so excited 😆

This book got boring like in chapter 275 or so.
There was smut too (kinda), it was not great. ~Blackbird & Butcher~’s smut was better, they had chemistry, they got to know each other, they were sending texts to each other, talked on the phone, etc…
But this book here, they did not have the ‘let’s get to know each other’ only childhood trauma, no chemistry, only sexual desire.

I have questions about the characters too, what does Ravyn and Elspeth like about each other (other then that they both are infected and needed to lie/have secrets so that they survive)? How did the Queen die? What about the king? What does he do? What’s his purpose in this story except that he is a king? What about Elspeth is dad Erik?
I have so many questions yet no answers. There are repeated words too 🙄

Now that I’ve read some of the comments of this book, I do realise that some things I’ve noticed, but decided to ignore and some things that I now notice. This book is not that good as I though. The heroine is…not the best (which I already knew, just ignored). It got me questioned on some things that have no explanation to it, like what’s the ‘Market Day’? What’s about it? What about the family trees?

I have no words. I don’t what to think or feel, now knowing what the magic takes from her every time she asks help from the Nightmare.
I do wish she opens for Ravyn though, I’m pretty sure that ones he knows about her magic and that there is Nightmare inside of her mind and etc… he will help her and do anything for her.
I like the book, it’s not bad and if the ‘end’ is good I will buy the second book.

I begin to annotate the book, it’s my first time. I wanted to annotate my books for a quite the time now, just didn’t know how or when. I regret not doing it for ~Blackbird & Butcher~, I will do it but another time as it is a very good book 💜

I will put it out for now. I am in need of at least a decent written book, a book with actual story progression and not smut or whatever this sh*t is…
I’m spend, I will read now {One dark window} for a recharge and then I will be able to keep reading this one.

Yea~ this book is…kinda boring and everything I said before. More than 10 chapters there was only smut between Emeriel and the grand king…repeating itself too. I got annoyed and so I skipped the last chapters of the smut. I wasn’t in the mood for that even and it got boring, I was done with it and wanted to read a progression, not porn for like idk 20 chapters 🙄

I like the book, it’s kinda interesting. But not fully my thing. It’s a book that I will pick up only if I feel a little…naughty (?), bored, perhaps the need to explore something abnormal and weird or brutal, something that has almost to no logic. I like that the pacing is slow, but at the same time it’s a little bit too slow for my taste.

I will say the book is interesting, as I keep reading. I didn’t notice that I read 49 pages in one seating. I’m always finding myself curious at the end of the page to want to know what happens next. But I will place it right now in the middle, it’s not bad, but it’s not “wow”.

The interaction between Ravyn and Elspeth is…mmm alright? I guess? I mean he is mysterious and I guess that’s something to keep me interested, but I’m not that much tbh. It’s kinda boring, but at the same time I do want to know how their interactions will bloom. There are words that I do not know about. And it’s kinda confusing sometimes when it comes to their surrounding, the details.

Still kinda boring. I do look forward the interactions between Elspeth and the Nightmare though. That is the only thing that keeps me interested in this book, he knows something and keeps it all secret.
I’m very interested to know what he keeps hiding.
And how it will unfold ones she goes to the King’s celebration or whatever it is, looking forward to it too.

So far kinda boring and I don’t understand that much of what it happens, but I think soon enough it will get good

I don’t like the smut in this book, because their chemistry was already good enough from the beginning. I don’t think that I need a book with smut tbh. Thanks to this book I know that now.

It’s do hard to read it, I’m embarrassed, like I don’t know how to describe that feeling but damn that’s not easy read sinds chapter 207 till now and it has still couple more chapters to go 🥲
